HERE ARE OUR THIRD QUARTER OPTIONS – join early and beat the price rise
“Games Unlimited” – expand your list of known games, have fun, prepare for North vs South

Did you initially think improv was just those crazy short form games? Well, this course is!!!
Learn lots and lots of short form games, the skills behind them, and the nature of playfulness, so you could play any game, regardless of whether you already knew it or not. Within each game is hidden important elements to help you with every aspect of your improvisation, so you’ll be surprised just how much they can help everything you do on the stage. Oh, and games are fun, huh?
Also, third quarter will see the return of our annual games extravaganza, North vs South – the battle for Canberra, and if you choose to play in this show series, you’ll be well prepared. The class showcase performance will, in fact, be Heat 1 of this series. Sure to be popular, so join early, and you’ll only pay second quarter prices (a slight increase is coming soon).
7 Monday evenings from July 27 , 7:00pm-9:30pm, @ Level 1, 131 City Walk, Canberra City.

“Next Level Improv” – build upon all prior fundamentals and feel comfortable to really start having fun

If you need to ask what should I do next, or what is the next appropriate level for me, no matter how much improv you’ve done to date, I suggest this one. We don’t like talking about levels at Impro ACT, because you’re all equals, learning different things at a different pace, but this course is the perfect next step from Prepare to Be Unprepared, or for all those people who thought about doing the first course again to hone their fundamentals, but didn’t want to go all the way back to the beginning, We’ll simply do more solid work on all the basics of scene-building, game-playing, fitting scenes together into longer sequences, characterisation, relationship building, and more.
This course is to make you feel strong and comfortable about jumping into any show, and help you feel happily ready for anything. A great way to start the year and then jump into more niche topics next term.
It’s been a long time coming for all those who have asked for something like this. Probably good to book early!
7 Tuesday evenings from July 28, 7:00pm-9:30pm, @ Level 1, 131 City Walk, Canberra City.
